The Stargirl is Amy C. Fredericks, an astronomy professor who lives in Southern California.

I received my bachelors in astronomy from the University of Southern California in 1996 and my masters (also in astronomy) from the University of Maryland in 1999.  I am a tenured professor at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, CA.  Previously I was an astronomer at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington DC and taught at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD.

I was born in California and my childhood saw my family living in such diverse places as Guam, Spain, and Florida. But mostly I grew up in Maryland, outside of Washington DC. Work has led me to live in Hawaii, Boston, and New York City.

My interests include travel, photography, hiking, web design, and all aspects of science fiction geekery.

Whilst carrying out research for our guide to CSS3, I came across a link that isn’t working on your site.

Here – http://stargirl-designs.com/blog1/, I’m getting an error message when I visit this link – http://www.w3schools.com/css3/default.asp

Our guide http://wiht.link/css3_information might be worth considering as a suitable replacement; it has an introduction to CSS (for any of your visitors who are completely new to the topic) as well as details of the new features of CSS3.

    Hope that helps!
